Local, fresh dishes

We take great pride in our food and are passionate about local, fresh dishes coupled with some of the best local beers and interesting wines around. Everything is made inhouse and we cater to all tastes. Our expert team of Chefs, with backgrounds in Michelin Star and Rosette dining, ensures that we use the best ingredients that the local area can provide to us: from Llanelli Bay Mussels and Llansteffan Wild Garlic to Pendine Pigeon and Dinefwr Venison. Our principles are straightforward: seasonal, tasty food presented simply (with homemade chips of course!).

The Range of Food

Our principles at the pub are fairly straight forward. We have a big focus on food, with fantastic fresh, seasonal produce presented simply and accompanied by some of the best local beers and interesting wines around. All our food is made in house. The pub has a bar (which is dog friendly) and a separate restaurant area, with food served 7-days a week. We serve a

Roast every Sunday lunchtime and have a number of different things going on during the week. For example, Monday night is Steak Night, we serve brunch every Saturday morning and we have live music every first Sunday of the month. We also have five rooms directly above the pub, each are uniquely decorated and maintain the historic feel of the building. We’re a great base from which to explore the Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire coast.

Michelin Starred Restaurant Experience

What is your favourite dish on the menu?
My current favourites on the menu are our scallops starter dish (served with apple and hazelnut) and you can’t go wrong with steak and chips – ours is a Himalayan-salt dried Rib-eye (that we get from Eynon’s Butchers in St Clears) served with a slow-cooked tomato, The Sticks’ Bearnaise sauce and homemade chips. We’d recommend
a lovely glass of Shiraz to accompany that (possibly after one of our Welsh gins and tonics to start!).
